Event Overview

According to Pitch Book, femtech startups are potentially on track to raise a record amount of venture capital in 2024, approximately $1.2 billion. The most valuable femtech companies by post-money valuation include virtual care company Maven Clinic and molecular diagnostics firm, BillionToOne.

Despite this good news, the fundraising picture for women’s health and female founders is still challenging. Pitch Book reports that deal count, or the number of femtech companies receiving funding, is down nearly 50% in 2024. And, the recent election of Trump to the presidency may shape the investment landscape in unexpected ways.

How can startups and rising companies in women’s health (in AI and related sectors) understand this challenging and unpredictable investing landscape and position themselves for success? Our panel of investors will provide predictions and expert strategic guidance.

Select Topics We’ll Cover

Successful Implementation and Fundraising Strategies: AI is not new in healthcare, as it is well-established in certain sub-sectors. What strategies should women’s health companies thinking about integrating AI into their offerings (or that already have AI) pursue to execute and fundraise successfully?

The Data Question: There is a large health data gap between men and women. How are women’s health-focused AI companies overcoming and helping to address data disparities?

Preparing for the Future: How might the investing landscape in the U.S. change versus other parts of the world, such as Europe and Asia? How can women’s health companies seeking funding prepare and thrive?
