          A Community Builder at Heart

I’ve been involved with online communities since the early Internet days, hanging out in BBS, writing a health-focused blog (HealthCareVox) that’s still live nearly 20 years after I started it (I no longer write the blog), created an interesting marketing-focused community called Path of the Blue Eye (that was launched via a comic!), launched an initiative focused on digital health called the Digital Health Maven Project (listen to the project’s podcast), and much more.

Throughout all of these endeavors, I’ve always been drawn to the idea of creating and fostering community. I guess that’s what inspired me to suggest to my friend and colleague, Denise Pines, that embed community-building features into Femalytics.

Another thing that inspired me to develop Femalytics’ social features was what was happening after FemAging Project pitch competitions. We’d spend about 1.5 hours listening to inspiring innovators and after people would stick around for another 30-45 minutes getting to know each other and making connections.

To me this reinforced the fact that people in women’s health are very much interested in making meaningful connections. This inspired me to make sure — despite everything else Femalytics offers — that community would be at the center of what we do.

I’m looking forward to getting to know many of you — and re-connecting with old colleagues who join this community. Another benefit is that this social network is private, which hopefully will lead to people being able to more easily find each other — and avoid the clutter and distractions of other public networks.

What else can I say about myself? I’ve been in the innovation space since the late 1990s, have a wonderful wife and two daughters — one is just entering high school and the other is on the cusp of middle school.

I also spent the last few years pivoting away from what I had been doing with my consulting firm, Enspektos, more toward building products (like Femmaya) and working on the FemAging Project. I’m super excited to be here and can’t wait to see what we accomplish together.

Hi, I’m Cindy Perlin, the founder and CEO of the Alternative Pain Treatment Directory. The Directory is an online resource for people in pain and includes articles about pain condtions, treatments and policies, recommended natural pain relief products and a holistic healthcare provider directory. You can find the website at https://www.paintreatmentdirectory.com

My interest in creating the Alternative Pain Treatment Directory came about due to my experience over many decades dealing with my own chronic pain, starting in 1977 with chronic, disabling back pain. I consulted many conventional medical providers over a period of over 3 years who were unable to help me until I stumbled upon a solution on my own that enabled me to become healthy and productive again. Over the years I experienced many other debilitating pain conditions that conventional medicine was unable to resolve and where I stumbled upon a solution in alternative medicine after way too much time. The Alternative Pain Treatment Directory has everything pain patients need to quickly find safe, effective pain relief.

I’m also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified biofeedback practitioner. I have been in private practice in the Albany, NY area for over 30 years, specializing in mind/body approaches to chronic pain and illness. I’m the author of The Truth About Chronic Pain Treatments: The Best and Worst Strategies for Becoming Pain Free.

I’m interested in developing strategic alliances/partnerships/sponsorships with like-minded organizations and individuals.

HI, I’m Pamela Wirth of Hello Health.

Pamela founded Hello Health when her son was misdiagnosed with disorders including depression, anxiety, OCD and autism. Inspired to bring brain, gut, and immune education and resources to more people, Pamela discovered access to honest, natural supplements, cost-effective lab testing and telemedicine wasn’t easy to come by, and Hello Health was born.

There are currently no companies focused on an integrative health and wellness model to bring the root of autoimmune and autism diagnoses to light while also infusing community and a marketplace like concept (think LinkedIn for integrative health and wellness). This includes not only practitioners but also community, connection, communication, research and products and services including but not limited to nutrition, supplementation, testing for food allergies, the presence of infections and genetic markers.

Hello Health is an integrative and functional approach providing lab testing, supplements and soon complementary telehealth and support to those wanting to treat the root of the inflammation through identifying any infections or genetic markers as well as through nutrition and supplements rather than treating the symptom. Please visit our health tips and blog at http://www.gethellohealth.com, our podcast “EnCOURAGE Your Wellness”, “Saving My Son” book on Amazon by Pamela Wirth or our Instagram and YouTube at @hellohealthnutrition.

Allies in Recovery: Empowering Families in the Fight against Addiction

Through CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training), we equip families with the tools to understand usage patterns, to communicate effectively, and to cultivate positive behavioral changes. We guide families through behavioral modification techniques, emphasizing positive reinforcement for desirable behaviors while withholding reinforcement for harmful ones.

In one instance, Allies in Recovery became the lifeline during a family’s darkest hour. Faced with the challenges of their son’s methamphetamine addiction, they turned to Allies’ program for support. The family witnessed a transformative shift in household dynamics through their implementation of CRAFT techniques. Effective communication, reflective listening, and positive reinforcement became the cornerstone of their interactions, leading to a pivotal moment when their son entered rehabilitation. This family navigated the complexities of addiction with confidence and resilience.

“We transform lives through innovative strategies, evidence-based methodologies, and continuous support. Together, we can overcome the challenges of addiction and build a brighter, healthier future for all,” says Dr. Simon-Levine.

Allies in Recovery is committed to continuous innovation. Plans include integrating AI for monitoring and risk prediction, enhancing the e-learning with gamification and multilingual support, and producing content featuring real-life scenarios about families from around the globe.

The company also actively advocates for change in the area of funding and support for family-focused initiatives to address addiction.

“By investing in family empowerment and training, we can leverage their natural inclination to help and create a robust support network to address the ongoing opioid epidemic,” says Dr. Simon-Levine.

Allies in Recovery empowers families with knowledge and skills to help their loved ones in the struggle to overcome addiction, producing impressive and measurable results. It brings together the best of science and applied psychology as the whole family faces the drug or alcohol problems of a family member.

The company was founded by Dr. Dominique Simon- Levine, an applied anthropologist with lived experience and expertise on issues of addiction and the family. She completed her doctorate on the informal social power of mothers on the health and survival of children in Mali. Dominique also was an evaluator for many state and federally-funded U.S. Department of Health and Human Services projects on addiction and treatment, mental illness, homelessness, HIV, and Hep C.

Dr. Simon-Levine materialized the concept of Allies in Recovery by drawing from an academic framework known as Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT), which she studied extensively alongside its developer, Robert Meyers, PhD. Their work is showcased in the Emmy-winning HBO documentary “Addiction.” CRAFT, the only approach for families endorsed by SAMHSA, focuses on training and

the nuts and bolts of the world of addiction and recovery, including working toward engaging an addicted loved one into care and treatment.

Founded in 2003, Allies in Recovery expanded the reach and impact of CRAFT by transitioning to an online format in 2015. Its robust online platform AlliesinRecovery.net, offers a proprietary, award-winning eLearning program (videos and e-books in English and Spanish), blog posts, and a weekly podcast. This content is complemented by regular live online support and training groups, and personalized assistance.

Traditionally, interventions like CRAFT, when conducted by clinicians, could cost families more than $2,500 for 12 sessions. However, Allies in Recovery revolutionized the CRAFT approach by making it accessible and affordable. To date, over 4000 families have been served by Allies. There are affordable individual memberships for $159, or free subscriptions for those who live where their state or county sponsors free membership. Moving beyond theoretical frameworks, Dr. Simon-Levine and her team created an entire program that ensures families can apply the evidence-based CRAFT principles in everyday real life.

Allies in Recovery’s effectiveness is not just anecdotal. The CRAFT approach has peer-reviewed study results showing that its family training method is the most effective approach for getting addicted loved ones into recovery, at phenomenal rates of 65-70 percent – 3 times greater than private interventions that cost thousands. Allies’ member surveys reveal greatly improved family interactions, increased responsiveness from loved ones with substance use disorder (SUD), and significant reductions in member anxiety.

                                        Hi Fard,

Thank you for your interest in data-driven lifestyle management, and that’s a great question. Based on research from behavioral science and health psychology, we firmly believe that test data is only half the story when it comes to achieving lasting, healthy habit changes and extending healthspan. While blood tests provides critical insights into your health, it’s the actions and changes inspired by that data that really make the difference.

At Keyspan, we recognize that lasting behavior change requires more than just information—it requires personalized guidance, support, and accountability. That’s why we emphasize human health coaching alongside data. Studies consistently show that having a coach to guide you, provide accountability, and offer tailored advice leads to more sustainable results than relying on data alone.

Unlike platforms that focus solely on delivering biometric data and broad recommendations, we offer comprehensive, functional health coaching combined with precision supplements designed to target and improve specific biomarkers. We believe our approach helps eliminate the overwhelm that often comes with a data dump. Instead of leaving our users to interpret and act on the data themselves, we help them form new habits, build healthy routines, and provide ongoing support to ensure long-term success.

In short, at Keyspan, the data is a tool, but the true focus is on creating lasting, meaningful behavior change through human connection and personalized support.

Hello, I’m Jenna Richardson, a passionate entrepreneur, wellness advocate, and women’s empowerment specialist. My journey in the world of holistic health and personal development has been both a professional pursuit and a deeply personal mission.

As the founder of Princeton Integrative Health, I began my career with a focus on comprehensive wellness, addressing the intricate connections between physical, mental, and emotional health. This experience laid the groundwork for my understanding of holistic wellbeing and the unique challenges faced by individuals, especially women, as they navigate life’s transitions.

My entrepreneurial spirit and desire to make a broader impact led me to create One Rich Life, where I expanded my reach and deepened my commitment to helping others live fulfilling, balanced lives. This venture allowed me to explore the intersections of health, wealth, and personal growth, providing a more comprehensive approach to life enhancement.

However, it was my own midlife experiences and the stories of countless women I encountered that inspired my latest and most passionate project: One Wellthy Woman. This platform is the culmination of my professional expertise and personal insights, designed specifically to empower women during their midlife transition or transformation.

At One Wellthy Woman, I focus on three core areas that I believe are crucial for women’s wellbeing and success:

Self-leadership: I emphasize the importance of self-care, self-love, and self-prioritization, teaching women to lead themselves with compassion and strength.

Somatic release: Understanding the profound connection between mind and body, I guide women through techniques to release physical tension and emotional blockages.

Subconscious belief system shifts: I help women identify and transform limiting beliefs that may be holding them back from living their fullest lives.

My approach is rooted in the understanding that midlife is not a crisis, but a powerful opportunity for growth, reinvention, and self-discovery. I’m passionate about providing women with the tools, support, and community they need to embrace this transformative phase with confidence and enthusiasm.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing remarkable transformations in the women I’ve worked with. Seeing them step into their power, prioritize their wellbeing, and pursue their dreams with renewed vigor is what drives me every day.

As a speaker, coach, and thought leader in the wellness space, I’m committed to expanding the conversation around women’s health and empowerment. I believe that when women thrive, they create a ripple effect that positively impacts their families, communities, and the world at large.

I invite you to join me on this journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Whether through my programs, writings, or speaking engagements, my goal is to inspire and guide you towards a life of balance, fulfillment, and authentic success. Together, let’s redefine what it means to be a “wellthy” woman in today’s world.

Hi – My name is John Baird, Chairman and Founder of Vouched. We develop AI for traditional medicine and telehealth to safely and seamlessly verify patient and manage patient identity, online and off. In fact, we’ve helped health systems identify more than 20 million patients across North America.

My firm belief is that developments in technology and AI will provide rapidly improved healthcare, while expanding access. Improved access is especially important for women in marginalized and rural communities where access is increasingly rare due to the decline in clinicians.

In addition, by providing easier, safer access through tools like telemedicine, you can radically bend the healthcare cost curve downward. I look forward to learning more from this group.

Hello! I am a a double-board certified Doctor of Oriental Medicine practicing integrative health nationally in the US.  I combine precision medicine with natural medicine to create sustainable health for the human body and the planet.  I am an internationally published author with 2 books out this year (2024), two-time company founder, and innovator in the natural medicine field.  This looks like a very interesting group, would love to connect and discuss!

My approach to patient care and disease resolution combines deep Western medical science with a modern take on natural medicine, creating a Precision Natural Medicine paradigm that enables us to successfully target disease mechanisms – but with natural products.

This work has led to a collaboration with Dr. Stuart Kim, Stanford Professor Emeritus, enabling a data-based natural medical solution that consistently reverses age-related osteoporosis, with superior results to the pharmaceuticals.

In addition I work with Dr. Kathrin Meyer of the Kathrin Meyer Lab, finding natural solutions for children with rare genetic disorders.

My work in mid-life women’s wellness has led to the development of a natural product for mid-life women’s vaginal wellness, the first of its kind in the market.

                                                        My books include:

The Healthy Bones Nutrition Plan and Cookbook (Chelsea Green, Mobiwell, and Sirio), and a follow up, The Healthy Bones Plant-Based Nutrition Plan and Cookbook (released 9/24, Chelsea Green/Rizzoli). These companion books provide the reader with detailed knowledge on bone health, how to combine foods for bone health, and how to go about making an effective natural medicine recovery plan.

On the other side of the medical spectrum, I created a book on the future of medicine for the Academic Press at Elsevier, for November release 2024. The Implementation of Personalized Precision Medicine is a landscape view of cutting edge conventional medical technology, considering proteomics, epigenetics, exposomics, etc, looking at how these advanced biomarkers and technologies lead naturally to a Preventive medical paradigm within a conventional medical context.

I’m very good at translating high science and medicine to the public, and I do provide a unique medical worldview fusing science with traditional natural medicines.

I love sharing my knowledge and importantly, data – helping people, especially mid-life women, who are drastically underserved by the current medical paradigm.

                                                            Hi Laura –

I am a clinician who has spent the last 15 years building VBC/pay for performance value add healthcare models. I have recently pulled a group together to review data around some specific assumptions in women’s self health and mental health.  There is meat in the findings, and I have put together a small group of powerhouse women to build a clinical model.  I would love to tell you more about it and assess your interest in possibly participating in this initiative.

Hello everyone! I’m Amy Marti, and I’m thrilled to be here among such accomplished leaders! I’ve spent over 15 years in the executive search world, with a keen focus on femtech and wearable technology—industries that, much like me, are all about keeping a close eye on the latest trends. My work has a clear mission: placing talented female executives in impactful roles is a top priority for my firm, Rise Executive Search.

When I’m not busy matching incredible leaders with game-changing opportunities, you might find me deep-diving into the latest health tech gadget, usually trying to figure out if it’s going to improve my sleep or just give me another app to check.

Looking forward to connecting with all of you and talking shop—or rather, tech!

My  career-long findings, learnings and recommendations are at the heart of my best-selling book: Orgasmic Leadership: Profiting from the Coming Surge in Women’s Health and Wellness. Orgasmic Leadership provides unique perspectives on leadership and business building and the money that can be made by capitalizing on market opportunities.  In addition to being a frequent speaker, I serve on the Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards for companies in sexual and reproductive health and mentor female entrepreneurs.  I also co-host a podcast, Business of the V, with Bonafide CMO and practitioner, Dr. Alyssa Dweck.  The podcast focuses on the intersection of patient care, unmet needs, unanswered questions, and the businesses being created to respond.  We have completed close to 100 episodes to date.
